But many people are skeptical of the technology—three out of four respondents of arecent surveyfrom clinical data management company Carta Healthcare said they don’t trust AI in a healthcare setting. The potential of AI in healthcare is enormous, but so are the responsibilities that come with it. Today, the Biden-Harris administration announced that 28 leading healthcare providers and payers have committed to using AI responsibly for better health outcomes. These voluntary commitments build on ongoing work by the Department of Health and Human Services, the AI Executive order and commitments that the White House received from 15 leading AI companies to develop models responsibility. This move reflects a broader effort by the Biden-Harris Administration to ensure that AI-driven healthcare innovations prioritize patient safety, privacy, and equity. The Administration's engagement with stakeholders underscores the importance of understanding AI's potential and risks while emphasizing equity in healthcare access.
